If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we process your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, or otherwise our legitimate interest in replying under (f).
Messages from the forms are delivered through our email accounts, operated on our behalf by helloly GmbH, Rainerstrasse 25, 4020 Linz, Austria.

Requesting a Strategic Deep Dive
Through the form on this website we collect the name of your company, your line of work, a description of what you offer, your email address and, if you provide them, your mobile number, your website address and further voluntary details about your audience, region, goals, channels and your particular question.
We use these details to produce the analysis, send it to you, and contact you once afterwards by email or phone with an offer relating to the findings. The legal basis is the performance of the service you requested under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
To produce the analysis we use the AI service Claude, provided by Anthropic PBC, 548 Market St, PMB 90375, San Francisco, CA 94104, United States, as a processor. The details about your company are transferred to Anthropic and processed in the United States as well. We do not transfer your email address. For the research, the service also retrieves your public website and publicly accessible sources on the internet.
The transfer to the United States is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, which form part of the data processing agreement with Anthropic. Anthropic does not use the transferred data to train its models and deletes it no later than 30 days after processing. Longer retention by Anthropic is permitted only where a request breaches the service's usage policies or where the law requires it.
The analysis is produced with the support of an AI system and checked by us before we send it to you. No automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place.
The Deep Dive is free. In exchange you agree that we may contact you once with an offer. This consent is a condition of the request. You may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future under Article 7(3) GDPR and section 174 of the Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021. An informal message to kontakt@askalon.at is enough. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Required information
The fields marked as required in the forms are the ones we need in order to deal with your enquiry. Without them we cannot accept it. Everything else is voluntary. There is no legal obligation to provide us with data.
How long we keep data
Enquiries that do not lead to a commission, and the correspondence that goes with them, are deleted once your matter is settled, and after 12 months at the latest. Deep Dive requests are kept until you withdraw your consent, and for 12 months at the most.
Where a commission does come about, we keep the records for as long as is needed to carry out the work and deal with any claims. Invoices and other accounting records are kept for as long as company and tax law require, as a rule seven years under section 132 of the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code.
Recipients
Your data is received only by the service providers named in this policy, and only as far as they need it for their task. They process the data on our behalf and on our instructions. We do not sell data and we do not pass it on for advertising. We disclose data to authorities only where we are legally obliged to.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you (Article 15 GDPR), and to rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18) and data portability (Article 20). Any consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
Right to object: where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21 GDPR).
For all of this, write to kontakt@askalon.at. You may also lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
